Qantas to open Sydney, Melbourne meeting rooms
19 February 2008
Qantas, the national airline of Australia, has announced that it is to open dedicated meeting rooms at Sydney and Melbourne airports.
Business passengers will be able to access the new facility at Sydney from 25 February and at Melbourne from 17 March.
The rooms will be able to accommodate between two and 20 people and offer a range of catering options and amenities.
Lesley Grant, Qantas group general manager for customer products and services, said the meeting rooms would provide guests with a 'unique multi-purpose venue'.
'These new state-of-the-art conference facilities have been purpose built to provide complimentary interactive plasma screens for data projection, teleconferencing equipment, wireless connectivity and broadband internet, along with a break-out area,' she said.
The new rooms are part of an upgrade of Qantas' airport facilities across Australia, with a new terminal-wide wireless connectivity service recently being introduced in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
