BA announces new 'Gatwick hotspots'
25 March 2008
British Airways has announced that it will be flying to a number of new holiday hotspots from Gatwick this summer.
The carrier will launch new services from London to Alicante, Faro, Gibraltar, Malaga, Malta, Palma, Poznan and Tunis on 30 March.
Gatwick will also host new BA services to Genoa from 4 April, Antalya from 10 April, Ibiza from 1 June and Paphos from 1 July.
Robert Boyle, BA's commercial director, said: 'As one of the only short-haul, full service carriers at Gatwick, we combine low fares with complimentary food and drink, pre-allocated seats and the opportunity to join the BA Executive Club.'
Customers with the flag-carrying airline will also be able to access new flights to Amsterdam, Barcelona and Warsaw from London City as of 6 May.
Following the implementation of the first phase of the open skies agreement, BA's flights to Dallas and Houston will move from Gatwick to Heathrow this year.
In total, the airline will fly 41 times a day to 18 US destinations this summer.
