New visitor centre opens in Stockholm

Holidaymakers travelling to the Swedish capital of Stockholm can now access a visitor centre opened to provide information for people trying to navigate the region.
The complex is based in the centre of Stockholm and includes a tourist bureau, cafe, boat taxi office and archipelago travel agency, Group Leisure reports.
Visitors can gain information from the centre about the range of activities available in Stockholm, such as rip-boat trips, sea kayaking, rock climbing, hiking and cycling.
Stockholm is one of Europe's most interesting capitals in geographical terms, as it is located on Sweden's east coast, where Lake Malaren meets the Baltic Sea, and its centre consists of 14 islands.
The city is home to a number of historic buildings and landmarks, including the Royal Palace and a number of churches, cathedrals and museums.
Flights to Stockholm are available with carriers such as bmi, British Airways and SAS Scandinavian Airlines.
