More overseas travel from Aberdeen in June

Scottish travellers embarked on more overseas trips from Aberdeen airport in June, it has been announced.
International traffic through the north-eastern gateway increased at a year-on-year rate of 1.3% last month.
The most popular overseas destinations were Amsterdam, Stavanger and Paris, while Barcelona saw the steepest rate of growth.
Overall, some 302,145 passengers travelled through Aberdeen in June, which, while it was a drop of 1.9% on the previous year, brought the total traffic flow for 2008 so far to 1.6m.
Airport managing director Kevin Brown said: 'With the summer schedule well underway, I am very pleased to see an increasing number of passengers now choosing to fly from their local airport to some of Europe's most popular sunshine destinations.'
He added: 'The trend at Aberdeen is towards continued growth, particularly in the international market.'
Airlines such as Flybe, bmi and SAS fly from Aberdeen to destinations including Belfast, Esbjerg and Copenhagen.
