There are few more unique places in the world to hold a music festival than in a desert but later this year, travellers are being invited to experience just that.

Dubai will be playing host to a massive event which will see performers from across the globe unite to entertain the crowds.

The Desert Rhythm Festival will incorporate music from a variety of genres from Arabic, Turkish and Latin to Caribbean, South African and Western styles.

As well as performances from bands and artists, other entertainment will also be in abundance including belly dancing and plenty of delicious food.

Held at the Dubai Festival City, the event will tale place between 31 October and 1 November and is expected to be hugely popular with British holidaymakers.

Among the famous faces gracing the stage this year is Paul Weller who will be accompanied by Caribbean band Kassav.

The Desert Rhythm Festival is an annual event.
