13 October 2008
The United Arab Emirates city of Dubai will play host to the first event in the 2008-09 IRB Sevens World Series this year.
Rugby fans will be able to see the 16 teams in the 2008-09 season face each other for the first time at Dubai's new rugby venue, the Sevens, on 28 and 29 November.
Tickets went on sale recently and can be picked up at MMI outlets at the Mall of the Emirates, Al Wasl Road, Trade Centre Road and several other locations.
The 16 countries that are taking part in the 2008-09 series will be divided into four different pools for each meeting on the tour and will play the other sides in their group once.
In Dubai, the stand-out fixtures include a meeting between New Zealand and Australia on 28 November and a match between Fiji and England on the same date.
Holidaymakers will have plenty of opportunities to catch up with the 2008-09 Sevens World Series, with future events set to be held in South Africa on 5 and 6 December and New Zealand on 6 and 7 February, among other destinations.
