United Airlines to boost European services
19 November 2008
United Airlines will boost the transatlantic flight network next year when it launches services from Washington DC to Geneva in Switzerland and from Denver to London in England.
The carrier's daily connection between Denver and London will be reinstated from 29 March until 24 October, providing 'non-stop' passenger service to one of America's mountain regions.
United Airlines' flights between Washington Dulles airport and Geneva will use newly reconfigured aircraft offering facilities including lie-flat seats in business class.
The Boeing 767 that will be deployed on this route will also boast on-demand entertainment and other amenities for passengers in all cabins.
Kevin Knight, the airline's vice president of planning, said: 'Our services to Geneva and London provide our customers with convenient access to two international business, financial and diplomatic centers that are also popular tourist destinations.
'We will continue to adjust our capacity to market conditions and seek new opportunities to serve markets that respond to our customers' needs and deliver the results necessary to return us to profitability.'
Operating from hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Washington DC, United Airlines and its subsidiaries offer nearly 3,000 flights a day to over 200 domestic and international destinations.
Opodo cheap flights, hotels and car hire - let the journey begin!
