Emirates launches four new services
14 March 2006
Emirates has announced four new services between Perth and Dubai which will run from September this year.
It is hoped that the increased service will enable greater access between Western Australia and Europe and will benefit passengers, as it will allow same day travel to the United Kingdom.
Departing Perth on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, flight EK425 will leave at 06.30 and will arrive in Dubai at 13.45.
The return flight will depart from Dubai at 09.25 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays to arrive in Perth at 00.01 the following morning.
Cargo as well as passenger services will increase in capacity as each flight will allow for 13 tonnes of cargo capacity, which is expected to develop existing businesses as well as providing new export opportunities to destinations throughout the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the USA.
"The additional services signal our commitment and confidence in the growth of the Australian, and particularly the Western Australian market, and reflect a strong and steady demand for Emirates' passenger and cargo services," said Richard Vaughan, Emirates' senior vice president of commercial operations in East Asia and Australasia.
