BA offers six new routes for the summer

From March 26th there will be services to the Albanian capital Tirana, Reykjavik, the Bulgarian Black Sea coast resort of Varna, Turkey's third city Izmir, the Ukrainian capital Kiev and Athens.

Other changes in the schedule include a doubling of the number of flights from London Heathrow to Delhi and increased flights to North America, including Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Seattle.

Robert Boyle, BA director of planning, said: "Our new shorthaul routes from Gatwick include the first ever scheduled service between the UK and Tirana.

"Albania has enormous potential as a business and leisure destination especially as an increasing number of Albanians are now based in the UK.

"Another new destination is Varna on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast which has become a popular destination for Britons buying holiday homes."
