Running of the nudes

Pamplona is world famous for its Running of the Bulls, but protestors now also run the Running of the Nudes two days before.
Although the almost naked parade, as most people keep their underwear on, has a serious side the humane running has a party atmosphere with plenty of good cheer and music.
The campaign aims to replace the iconic bull run through the town, made famous by the writer Ernest Hemingway, with a human run.
This year the fourth Running of the Nudes will take place on 5 July.
Exploring the medieval town there is much to discover, including Pamplona's gothic cathedral, the 16th century citadel and the Plaza de Toros, the bull ring where the Running of the Bulls and the Nudes both head.
Pamplona is located in the region of Navarra that is famed for its picturesque mountains and great history.
The 900-year-old town of Estella is home to the Romanesque Palace of the Kings of Navarra, while to the east of Pamplona the mountains and valleys hide many centuries-old monasteries and churches..
