Speeding to Gothenburg

Every second year sees the European Porsche Parade take place and in 2006 it will be hosted by Gothenburg.
From 29 June to 2 July Porsche Club Sverige will welcome car lovers from around the world to the Swedish city for a celebration of the iconic sports car.
During the 30th anniversary festival roads will be closed off, as the cars parade through city and a programme of events will be held for children and adults, making the parade a family affair.
There will also be motoring tours of the surrounding areas for hundreds of classic cars, with sights including a number of picturesque villages, the Sala Silver Mine and the island of Solleron.
This August people from around Europe will also be heading to Gothenburg for the European Athletics Championship.
From 6 August to 13 August, athletes will be competing in 47 sporting events but the events will not be limited to the stadium.
The city will be holding a full programme of music, dance and arts to coincide with the competition.
