Leeds Bradford unveils new flights
10 April 2006
Leeds Bradford International Airport has launched a series of new flights.
Air Southwest has doubled its flights from the airport to the south-west, with a new service to Newquay and an extra afternoon flight to Bristol.
An Airport spokesman said: 'The introduction of a daily non-stop flight to Newquay, puts one of the world's surfing capitals - and Jamie Oliver's latest restaurant venture, Fifteen Cornwall - within even easier reach.'
Low cost carrier Centralwings has also started direct flights to the Polish capital Warsaw.
Bartosz Matusewicz of Centralwings said after the inaugural flight: "It was extremely pleasing to see such a variety of passengers using our new flight.
"This service is not only a welcome low cost option for Polish passengers wishing to visit family and friends, but it is ideal link for a short city break or business trip."
