More Brits head to Finland

Most Britons than ever are heading to Finland, according to official figures.
In December last year, the traditionally the nation's busiest month for tourism, the number of British visitors rose by 5.7 per cent, while in January this year visitor numbers rose by nine per cent.
Finnish Tourist Board director Anne Lind said: 'By the end of April we will have three brand new airline routes connecting the UK with Finland. More will follow by the end of the year. So we are confident this figure will keep on rising.'
Visitors head to Finland in December not only for the skiing but also the opportunity to meet Father Christmas.
In summer visitors are attracted by the long days - with the chance to experience the midnight sun and the outdoor activities including hiking, canoeing and mountain biking.
The summer also brings a number of more bizarre festivals including the Wife Carrying World Championships, the Kutemajarvi Sex Festival, the Visuvesi Kissing Competition and the Swamp Soccer World Championships, all taking place this July.
August sees the Finnish Pea Eating Championships, a mobile phone throwing contest and the Sauna World Championships.
Britain is the fourth largest market for Finnish tourism after Sweden, Russia and Germany.
