Brits travel more

Official statistics show that UK residents headed abroad more often in the last year.
In the 12 months to February, Brits made 66.6 million trips abroad, a rise of three per cent.
The Office of National Statistics figures show the most popular destination was Northern Europe, with 50.2 million trips.
The number of visits to North America fell by five per cent, to 4.7 million.
The biggest growth was in journeys to other parts of the globe, which increased by 15 per cent to 11.7 million trips.
Between December '05 and February '06, 16.9 million trips abroad were made by Brits, spending £8.1 billion.
Visitors heading to Britain increased by 9 per cent over the same period, spending £3.7 billion.
Over the year 30 million people came to the UK to visit, with 64 per cent from Western Europe, 14 per cent from North America and 21 per cent from the rest of the world.
