bmi regional lands timely award

bmi regional has won an award for the UK's most punctual airline.
The honour, given by flightontime.info, came as Civil Aviation Authority statistics showed 88.6 per cent of its flights were on time during 2005.
The airline was also commended for having average delays under seven minutes.
Crawford Rix, bmi regional managing director, said: 'We are extremely proud of our on-time record and the staff who work so hard to make it a reality. This award is a tribute to their dedication.
'Punctuality is the number one priority for the business traveller and we are determined to retain and strengthen our number one position in the future.'
The runner up in the awards was Eastern Airways that had 87.9 per cent of flights on time with average delays of under seven and a half minutes.
VLM Airlines, Lufthansa and Ryanair completed the top five punctual airlines.
