China Eastern opts for international cabin

China Eastern, one of China's leading airlines, has employed more than 500 foreign cabin attendants.
Recently staff from Japan, the US, Germany, Korea, and Spain have all been taken on in an attempt by the airline to create a more international feel to its services.
From May, China Eastern's service from between Shanghai and New Delhi will be staffed by Chinese and Indian cabin staff.
A spokesman for the airline explained that the foreign flight attendants had brought different flight experiences, cultures and folk customs with them.
China Eastern is trying added a further international dimension to its crews with forthcoming recruitment drives in the Philippines and Russia.
The airline has also recently announced it is increasing its fleet by purchasing 16 planes from Boeing at the cost of $912 million.
Currently China Eastern has services to over 400 destinations internationally and within China.
