Virgin flies daily to Vegas
08 May 2006

Virgin Atlantic has increased its number of services to Las Vegas.

The increased demand from British travellers for a slice of Vegas high life has led the airline to bring in daily services to the city.

Virgin Atlantic chief executive Steve Ridgway said: 'I am delighted to announce that Las Vegas has become a daily service.

'Las Vegas is a fantastic city full of excitement and entertainment and it has proved to be a very popular route with both leisure and business travellers. Since we introduced the first ever direct service to Las Vegas in June 2000, Virgin Atlantic have carried over 700,000 passengers.'

As well as the traditional gambling and shows that Vegas is world famous for, many people are heading to the city for what the state of Nevada has to offer.

The state's deserts, plains, forests and mountains allow visitors to find tranquillity when hiking, action through off-road 4x4 driving or skiing - with pistes open in some seasons until July.
