Qantas relaxes economy
08 May 2006

Qantas is giving its passengers in economy class a little more relaxation on flights.

At the centre of the relax and rewind service will be the increased food options for those in economy, usually not used to too much choice.

To help people off to sleep and feel at home Cadbury's hot chocolate with marshmallows or organic chamomile tea will service after meals.

The homely atmosphere continues with Ribena being served on flights to and from London. Similar local drinks will also be on the menu for other destinations.

Fresh fruit, fruit juices, warmed bread and hot towels will also be on offer to all economy passengers in the airline's drive to improve services.

Stewards will now focus on the own zones of passengers in an attempt to give people a more individual service and the laid back atmosphere will continue with the cabin crew's uniforms café-style aprons and announcements in more conservational language.
