Copenhagen's week of pride
05 July 2006

Copenhagen's Pride Week is Scandinavia's biggest gay event with eight days of events.

The festival takes place from 12 to 20 August with a series of parties, special club nights, exhibitions, films and general camping it up.

The highlight to the festival is the Pride march on 19 August that takes place through the Danish capital with a number of floats and music adding to the carnival feel.

Over the week, the focus for events during the day will be the Pride Square, where activities will be run throughout the day.

However, the highlight for many will be the city's clubs that will be putting on special events to coincide with Pride Week.

Bands and DJs from around Europe will also be performing on the main stage each night in Pride Square.
