BA to let families check in online
12 July 2006
British Airways (BA) is to expand its online check-in service to allow families and groups of six to take advantage of it.
By checking in online up to 24 hours before the flight and printing boarding passes at home, all families will have to do is drop off baggage at the fast bag drop and head to the security checks.
The service will start running on 25 July.
Jayne O'Brien, BA head of communications, said: 'Everyone looks forward to their summer holidays but we recognise that the airport experience can be quite stressful for families and groups.
'We want them to start their journey the way they mean to go on - by being as relaxed as possible. So we have extended the reach of our very popular on-line check-in facilities to allow families and groups to speed through the airport and arrive on board ready to enjoy their flight with us.'
