Brazil gets easier for winter
04 August 2006

Brazilian airline TAM is to start flying between London and Sao Paulo increasing the number of flights available from London to the country.

The service will start on 28 October between Heathrow and Guarulhos airport with two daily flights.

TAM is a major airline within Brazil and South America - flying to five major airports in Brazil and to Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia.

The airline has also recently started a service between Manaus, in the north of Brazil, to Miami.

However, it has only one other route across the Atlantic, to Paris.

The flights from London will leave in the evening at 22:05 and those from Sao Paulo will also take of at night leaving at 23:45.

The new route got the go-ahead after Brazilian and British authorities gave the thumbs up earlier this year.
