American Airlines has been voted best overall airline by readers of LatinFinance for the tenth consecutive year.
The US airline won several awards in the annual survey, including best airline between the United States and Latin America/Caribbean due to its extensive route system within the region.
The American Airlines economy class service was named best in the region in the Best of Class Travel poll and the AAdvantage programme was named the best frequent flyer programme in the tenth annual survey of readers who travel on business.
Peter Dolara, American Airlines senior vice president for Miami, Caribbean and Latin America, said: 'We are proud of the service we provide to Latin America and the Caribbean and are gratified that our passengers continue to select us as their best travel partner.'
American Airlines is the world's largest airline, serving 250 cities in more than 40 countries internationally, with more than 3,900 flights a day.
