Air Berlin doubles from Stansted

The number of passengers flying with Air Berlin from Stansted has almost doubled.
In July the airline carried 94.68% more passengers than last year from the airport.
Joachim Hunold, chief executive or Air Berlin, said: "By the end of the year we will have carried well above 15m passengers."
Over July the airline carried 1.6m passenger from all its destinations in Europe a 15% increase.
So far this year, in part helped by the airline's expansion and the football World Cup in Germany, 8.5m passengers used the airline an increase of just under 1m.
Air Berlin now flies to over 30 destinations in Europe from Stansted mainly in Spain and Germany.
