Paris bursts with art over autumn

The 35th Paris Autumn Festival this year sees the French capital offer hundreds of events.
The festival runs from 14 September to 19 December and can be described as an extended Edinburgh Festival with the visual arts, film, theatre, music and dance all covered.
In total, 25 venues host events from the Lourve, Musee d'Orsay and Pompidou Centre to lesser known galleries and performance spaces.
The range of musical events over the festival range include classics, such as Brahms and Beethoven, folk music from Mongolia and West Africa, works by Brecht and avant garde jazz and soundscapes where art installations and music mix.
In total, there are 43 separate events already lined up to take place and over 100 performances to choose from.
Artists and performance from around the world take part in the Autumn Festival giving events and Paris an international feel.
