Cricket fans pushed to book early

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is urging cricket fans to make sure they book early for the upcoming Ashes tour of Australia and 2007 Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean.
Foreign Office minister Lord Triesman said: 'It is vital that British cricket fans prepare properly to ensure against the increased likelihood of complications in their travel arrangements.
'It is important that people arrange travel, accommodation and match tickets well in advance, have all the necessary visas, hold a passport valid for at least 6 months, and take out comprehensive travel insurance.'
He also urged fans to visit the FCO website regularly to receive updates
The ICC Cricket World Cup will take place in nine different Caribbean during March and April 2007.
England will initially be based in St Lucia and the Scottish team will be based in St Kitts and Nevis. Other nations taking part include India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bermuda and the West Indies.
The Ashes tour will run from 10 November until 13 February 2007. The first test match will start on 23 November. After the fifth test finishes on 6 January, the England team will stay down under for a series of one day matches with Australia and New Zealand.
