American Airlines has opened six new services with its offshoot American Eagle.
From this week the airline has started three new routes from Chicago O'Hare.
A twice daily service will run from the Windy City to Greensboro, North Carolina, and flights once a day will run to Columbia, South Carolina, and Jackson in Mississippi.
Between Dallas Fortworth and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a new daily service will run, as will one between New York LaGuardia and Jacksonville, Florida.
A twice daily service will run between Raleigh/Durham and Columbus, Ohio.
As well as opening up more destinations in the US, American Eagle will also increase the number of flights to the Caribbean.
From San Juan in Puerto Rico, seven new flights a day will run to five destinations including Dominica, St Thomas and Antigua.
American Eagle president Peter Bowler said: 'The additional flights are part of our continuous efforts to solidify American Eagle as the premier airline in the Caribbean.
'These increased flights strengthen our San Juan hub and provide passengers with increased choices to reach some of the area s most popular and scenic destinations.'
