1m to head to Eurochocolate
19 September 2006

Over 1m people are expected to head to next month's Eurochocolate festival in Perugia from 14 to 22 October.

The Italian festival is now in its 13th year and this year will see a building site created out of chocolate as the organisers try to create a chocolate city and the largest chocolate bar in the world.

Walls will be built resembling chocolate bars and around three tonnes of chocolate will be used to create a dark chocolate igloo.

Sculptures made of the brown stuff will also be created and slivers of chocolate cut away by the artists will be handed out to visitors.

Continuing the chocolate theme, samples of chocolate from around the world including Vietnam, Cuba, Bolivia and Papua New Guinea will be handed out on specially designed trowels along with the best in chocolate cakes.

If the stress of too much sweetness proves too much, Eurochocolate is also holding an exhibition in the latest chocolate beauty treatments. Aromatherapy using cocoa and chocolate face masks will be some of the treatments on offer.
