Emirates bags award hat-trick
20 September 2006
Emirates has taken three major awards in the last two weeks.
The carrier picked up Favourite Business Airline from Conde Nast Traveller magazine, Best Middle East/Africa Airline from Business Traveller Asia-Pacific magazine and Best Middle Eastern Airline from Business Traveller UK magazine.
Emirates president Tim Clark said: 'Three awards in two weeks across two continents - that's an example of the impressive dividends you can reap by focussing on your customers.
'We are dedicated to providing the highest levels of service, both in the air and on the ground, and are continually striving to set new standards for the airline industry.'
At the Conde Nast Traveller Awards, Emirates beat off competition from British Airways and Singapore Airlines to take the award for the second year in a row, scoring well for punctuality, in-flight entertainment and value for money.
British Airway picked up the award for the best short-haul airline for leisure and in the long-haul category Cathy Pacific took the honours.
