BA increases services to Moscow
27 September 2006

British Airways is to expand its number of services to Moscow.

The airline is to increase the number of services to the Russia capital to 21 per week.

Andrew Hammens, BA's commercial director for northeast Europe, told the news agency Interfax: "This is a very fast growing destination. Whatever size of plane we use, they're always full."

The expansion means BA will be offering four more flights to Moscow's Domodedovo Airport a week, although it is still to be confirmed when the new services will commence.

Domodedovo International Airport is Russia's largest airport and in the first half of this year passenger numbers were over 10m an increase of 10.5%.

Besides Red Square, with the Kremlin, St Basil's Cathedral and Lenin's Mausoleum, attractions in Moscow include Dostoyevsky House Museum, the Mayakovsky Art Museum and the Bolshoi Theatre.
