Channel Islands offer £10 dinners
29 September 2006
Over 170 top restaurants in Jersey and Guernsey are to offer special rates over the next six weeks.
The Tennerfest runs from 1 October to 12 November with set lunch and dinner menus at some of the island's best restaurants at £10, £12.50 and £15.
The Bohemia, in St Helier, the only restaurant in Jersey to have a Michelin star is taking part in the promotion as is the City Bar and Brasserie, named as one of the most stylish restaurants on the island.
On Guernsey, the Café du Moulin, renowned as the island's best, is taking part with a menu that includes mussels in wasabi and ginger sauce, Malaysian prawn and cod, and seared fillet of salmon.
The festival is now in its ninth year and as well as enjoying the meals, diners will be offered the chance to give their opinions on the food.
Tennerfest is running a contest for reviews, so prospective diners can see what is in store, and the best review will win a £300 mobile phone.
The Channel Islands are renowned for their good food, mixing the best of British and French cuisine and Tennerfest is a good way to sample the best on offer.
