09 October 2006
Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has opened a new resort in Bali.
Situated 160 metres above the Indian Ocean, the new site will feature 59 villas and the company promises this latest project will be in keeping with its other hotel.
The new property is located near to the village of Pecatu in the south west of Bali and is within 20 kilometres of the international airport.
Visitors will be able to benefit from a private beach and stunning views across the Indian Ocean.
'Following the great success of our first hotel opened in Milan in 2004, I am very pleased to inaugurate the Bulgari Resort in Bali, one of the most exciting and exclusive destinations in the world thanks to its natural beauty, rich culture and heritage,' said Francesco Trapani, chief executive officer at Bulgari.
'I believe that this magnificent resort with its extraordinary location perfectly mirrors and applies to hospitality our concepts of design, elegance and contemporary luxury.'
The resort has been designed by architects Antonio Citterio and Partners in order to ensure that it fits in with the traditional Balinese style.
