Hong Kong Airport honoured
12 October 2006
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has been named the world's best for the fourth year running.
It received the recognition from readers of The Travellers Guide (TTG) at this year's TTG Awards, reports website news.gov.hk.
Those who voted for Hong Kong International as the best airport cited the hub's excellent facilities, friendliness and efficiency.
It was also commended for being a well-designed airport that is easy to get around and for being very accessible.
The Airport Authority's chief executive officer, Dr David Pang, told the website that the airport would continue to develop and evolve to ensure it remained the world's best.
"When Passenger Terminal Two commences its operation by the end of this year, HKIA will bring travellers and other airport users an even wider choice of facilities and services in shopping, dining and entertainment, further confirming our status as Asia's premier aviation hub," said Dr Pang.
