DYI airline company
17 October 2006
Aircraft manufacturing giant Boeing has launched a website aimed at offering potential airline owners some useful tips to getting started.
Named StartupBoeing, the site is full of helpful information for anyone who fancies their chances in the competitive airline industry.
Advice is offered on which kind of aircraft to buy, although invariably the choice is Boeing-based, and on how to train your staff to ensure your airline is a world leader.
In addition, StartupBoeing also offers advice on the price of jets and on how to draw up a workable business plan.
The site comes complete with a price list, detailing that it is possible to purchase a Boeing jet from as little as £25m to as much as £151m.
Although StartupBoeing certainly does hold enough information to help an entrepreneur begin his or her own airline company, it also offers those without the financial backing an interesting insight into the industry.
