Supermodel Kate Moss and Babyshambles front man Pete Doherty have been spotted taking a holiday in Florence.
The couple, who have had a well-publicised on-off relationship, were reportedly seen looking in some of the city's finest jewellery shops, fuelling speculation of an impending wedding.
'They both looked like a pair of loved-up teenagers but they were taking the matter of rings very seriously,' said one onlooker.
'There is no guarantee it's an engagement ring but it seems significant to them.'
Rumours in the UK tabloids suggest that Moss has laid down a few ground rules for Doherty in order to keep the former drug addict in check.
These are said to include a complete ban on the use of drugs, prohibiting Doherty from seeing his other drug addict friends and making the 27-year-old call her at least three times a day.
The couple have reportedly set a date in 2007 for their wedding, which it is rumoured will take place in Ibiza.
