Space tourist begins preparations

The world's next space tourist is preparing himself for the incredible journey and has revealed that he has always been interested in space.
Billionaire Charles Simonyi was born in Hungary and left for the US when he was just 17 years old.
He studied engineering and computer science while in America and went on to make his billions by helping to design two of the most popular computer applications on the planet, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Now 58-years-old, Mr Simonyi is preparing for his epic journey which is due to begin in March 2007.
He has revealed that as a youngster he was fascinated by space and used to dream of one day making the journey himself.
Mr Simonyi has paid in the region of $25m dollars for the chance to become a space tourist and he plans to keep a web-log so that people can keep up with his progress.
'I want to share all that I learn with everybody, especially with kids,' he said.
