Crowe falls for Provence
30 October 2006

Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe has spoken of his affection for Provence as a holiday destination.

The Australian star has revealed that he fell in love with the French region while filming his latest movie A Good Year.

During an interview with the Daily Telegraph Crowe explained why he was so excited to be filming in Provence.

'It just appealed to me,' he said. 'I wanted to go to Provence and I wanted to take my family to a location that I knew my wife would enjoy.'

Provence is famous for its wonderfully expansive countryside with waterfalls and vineyards creating an idyllic setting for a holiday as well as a great location for filming a blockbuster movie.

The calming surroundings would have worked wonders on Crowe who has famously gained a reputation as a wild boy of the film industry over the past few years.
