Hong Kong's WinterFest
13 November 2006
The Hong Kong Tourism Board is joining together with four of the region's biggest attractions to launch WinterFest.
The event is the grand finale of the 2006 Discover Hong Kong Year and will run from 24 November until 1 January 2007.
For the first time ever, the tourism board will join forces with Hong Kong Disneyland, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, Ngong Ping 360 and Ocean Park Hong Kong.
The aim is to make Hong Kong the star attraction during the Christmas and New Year period and the tourism authorities are delighted that the big attractions are getting onboard.
'Capitalising on 2006 Discover Hong Kong Year, we're determined to make this year's WinterFest even more enticing,' said Lambert Chan, general manager of destination marketing at the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
'We're deeply grateful for the wonderful support from the four major attractions. Together we'll make Hong Kong the centre of Christmas and New Year celebrations in Asia.'
Hong Kong WinterFest will continue to carry the slogan 'Love and Care' as it enters its fifth year.
