Dubai's superstar resort
16 November 2006
A new hotel and resort is to be built in Dubai with the intention of bringing the glamour and glitz of the East and the West together.
The best of Hollywood will be fused with the best of Bollywood to create what is being described as a "unique" project.
The Holly Bolly Hotel and Resort is a joint venture between Plantation Holdings and Bawadi and both parties are confident that the resort will be a success.
'All of Bawadi's projects are committed to reflecting creativity and quality,' said Arif Mubarak, chief executive officer of Bawadi.
'The Holly Bolly Hotel and Resort will be a testament to these standards. As a milestone project in the region, it will add another unique facet to Bawadi offerings.'
Around 1,000 rooms will be available in the hotel and resort, which will hold a four and five-star rating, while visitors will also be able to benefit from a large cinema complex.
In keeping with the move theme, the Holly Bolly Hotel and Resort will feature a celebrity museum, which features stars and memorabilia from both Hollywood and Bollwood.
'We are extremely excited about creating this innovative hotel and resort,' said Arthur Fitzwilliam, managing director of Plantation Holding.
'The Holly Bolly Hotel and Resort will bring the best from the two worlds of entertainment. A unique fusion of the East and the West, it will create a truly exquisite blend of the ultimate in showbiz.'
