30 November 2006
A resort and spa in Phuket will open at the end of 2008, owned by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.

It will include guestrooms of a minimum of 50 square metres in size and villas for private sale, with either an integral plunge pool or lagoon waters nearby for each of the 92 villas.
There will also be residential spa villas for guests preferring to be plunged fully into the Chi spa environment.

Romantic trips are provided for with a chapel which faces out onto the beach, while business travellers can also take advantage of function rooms and the grand ballroom banqueting room.
Food on offer will include a grill, Thai cusine and tapas.
