Actress Lindsay Lohan has sparked rumours that she may be pregnant during a holiday in Los Angeles.

The star of Mean Girls has visibly gained weight in recent weeks and the tabloid rumour-mill has already begun working.

Lohan has been a favourite target for the tabloids after a string of boozy outings and has recently declared that she is no longer drinking.

However, this has not kept her out of the gossip pages and the latest claim that she may be pregnant comes following some odd behaviour.

She was seen berating a former helper at a recent event held by British men's magazine GQ, before sending a letter to her friends in which she stated: "Al Gore will help me."

The star has recently spoken about her battle with eating disorders during an interview with the News of the World.

In it, Lohan says she experienced "intense pains" in her head and liver because she was starving herself.

'I had people sit me down and say, "You're going to die if you don't take care of yourself",' she said.

The star has yet to comment on the pregnancy rumours.
