Robbie Williams ignites row
14 December 2006

Singer Robbie Williams has landed himself in hot water during a trip to Australia.

The former Take That band member has been criticised by a number of health groups in the country because he smoked a cigarette while on stage.

Williams took more than a few drags during a gig in Brisbane, despite Australian law prohibiting him from doing so.

Now the Angels singer is coming under fire from many groups who say Williams should have known better.

'Robbie's a very bad boy and there are a number of staff at the Queensland Cancer Fund (QCF) who are more than willing to give him a stern talking to about this,' Susan Greenbank from QCF told website Concert.com.au.

'It's disappointing he chose to break the law. [But] that's probably indicative of his attitude to most things.

'He's very "I'm Robbie Williams I can do what I like" - it's just consistent with the rest of his behaviours, so it's probably not that surprising,' she added.
