Robbie Williams, Elton John row in Australia
15 December 2006
Robbie Williams and Elton John are in the midst of a battle of words during their separate trips to Australia.
Both singers are currently on tour in the country, but despite falling out a few years back, they cannot seem to leave each other alone.
It all began when Robbie Williams revealed to thousands of fans at his gig the hotel room number that Elton is currently staying in.
The two stars are staying in the same building and Robbie obviously thought it would be funny to infringe on Elton's well-guarded privacy.
In response, the Rocket Man chose to taunt Robbie over the recent success of his former band Take That.
Elton's partner, David Furnish, revealed to The Spectator that the singer was furious with his old adversary.
'I got a phone call from a slightly irked Elton still Down Under,' said Furnish. '[He was furious] at Robbie's irresponsible delinquency.'
Elton slipped a note under Robbie's hotel room door, with the message 'Dear Robbie, Take That... No 1 single and album. Great result. Love Elton.'
The pair fell out when Robbie claimed Elton tried to kidnap him in order to steer him away from drink and drugs.
