Liz Hurley's wedding guests to wear Indian clothes
12 January 2007

Liz Hurley is asking all guests at her wedding to Arun Nayar in India to wear traditional Indian dress.

The likes of David and Victoria Beckham and Elton John have been asked to wear turbans, kurtas and saris when they attend the ceremony.

Women, like Hurley, will be wearing pink saris during the ceremony, but are then allowed to wear what they like, so long as it is 'glamorous and fabulous'.

Male guests will be required to wear orange turbans and all Indian clothing will be available from Hurley and Nayar's own private wedding shop.

The store will be opened at the Hilton Towers Hotel in Mumbai, with the couple telling guests that they can buy clothes for the six-day event when they arrive.

'Please don't panic... all Indian clothes can be bought when you arrive in India, where they will be much nicer,' claimed an orientation pack sent out by the pair.

The wedding is due to begin on 9 March and Hurley will be wearing a £4,000 pink sari.
