Weather affects UK airports
18 January 2007
A large number of flights are being affected by adverse weather conditions in the UK.
BAA, the firm that controls the majority of the country's airports has released an update on the current situation at individual hubs.
Flights to and from Britain's busiest airport, Heathrow, are subject to cancellations and delays.
Many flights have already been cancelled today (18 January) and passengers are being urged to check before leaving for the airport. They are also being told that they should allow extra time for their journey.
Those passengers intending to use the Heathrow Connect rail service should also be aware that trains are not running on this route until further notice.
Delays and cancellations are also being experienced at Southampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports.
