Paris Hilton to attend Austrian ball
18 January 2007
Paris Hilton is attempting to impose herself on the Austrian high society scene by attending an aristocratic ball in February.
The hotel heiress, more regularly spotted falling out of nightclubs and being arrested for drink-driving than attending high-class balls, is the guest of Richard Lugner.
Lugner is a 74-year-old real estate and construction mogul and he has regularly had a famous beauty on his arm when attending the Vienna Opera Ball.
Past trophy dates have included Carmen Electra, Pamela Anderson, Andie McDowell and Geri Halliwell.
As Paris will be attending the ball in Austria with Lugner, there will be no place for her current squeeze Stavros Niarchos.
Paris will travel to Vienna with her parents and three friends and, if rumours are to be believed, Britney Spears will most certainly not be included in that group.
The Toxic singer had become quite friendly with Paris after she split with husband Kevin Federline, but Lugner has revealed that the girls no longer speak to each other.
"They unfortunately do not get along any more," he said.
