Ronaldo visits Dubai
29 January 2007

Manchester United and Portugal footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has recently enjoyed a holiday in Dubai.

The 21-year-old was invited by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing to see what the country has to offer as a holiday destination.

Ronaldo was taken on a desert safari trip, before being taken on a city tour and then being shown a presentation on Dubai.

Following his introduction, Ronaldo praised Dubai as being an ideal business and holiday destination.

Dubai has seen its popularity among football players increase dramatically in recent years, with high-profile stars choosing the destination as a place to get away from their normal lives.

In addition, many of the major clubs, particularly in Europe, take their squads to Dubai for training camps and holidays.

Cristiano Ronaldo was in the United Arab Emirates for five days.
