Charles and Camilla in US
29 January 2007

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are enjoying their second trip together in the United States.

The royal pair are currently taking part in a three-day tour of the US in which Charles has been handed an environmental award.

Former US vice-president Al Gore handed the Global Environmental Citizen Prize to the prince during a ceremony in New York.

Prior to the award ceremony, Charles and Camilla paid a visit to New York's Harlem Children's Zone.

While there, the couple were introduced to a number of social service, health and educational projects.

Charles then showed his sporting prowess by shooting hoops with some children on a local basketball court, before watching a maths carnival and then a rehearsal for A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The couple arrived in New York from Philadelphia on an electric train, with some critics claiming it was a stunt designed to improve the prince's green image following criticism for using a scheduled flight to reach the US.
