Serena Williams in Melbourne
02 February 2007

Tennis superstar Serena Williams has celebrated her latest win with a break in Australia.

After winning her first Grand Slam title for two years, the star took to the beach in Melbourne to bring herself back down to earth.

The 25-year-old won the Australian Open and her close friends say that afterwards she needed to unwind.

There is arguably no better place to unwind than on Blackrock beach in Melbourne and that is exactly where Serena headed.

During the tournament, Serena received some stick from critics who said that she had put on weight.

However, the star looked stunning as she played in the sea in a revealing bikini.

'I feel that because I'm larger in some areas than other girls, that I don't have a flat chest, I don't have a flat ass... I felt that people said I wasn't fit,' said Serena.

The tennis player is expected to stay in Australia for a short while to continue her championship celebrations.
