Elton John holds New York birthday bash
27 March 2007

Elton John's 60th birthday celebrations have continued with the rocker taking the bash to New York.

The star wowed a crowd of around 20,000 with a three-hour long performance at Madison Square Garden.

He was joined by a number of A-List celebrities, among them Liz Hurley who travelled to the US for the party just weeks after getting married in India.

Other famous faces at the show were former US president Bill Clinton, Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Sir Michael Caine, the Osbourne family, Kid Rock and many others.

Elton performed many of his greatest hits during the night before the audience rose to sing Happy Birthday to the Rocket Man.

It is reported that Madison Square Garden was decorated with a whopping £50,000 worth of flowers for the occasion.

The gig followed Elton's first party which was held in London just one week earlier.
