Snoop Dogg, P Diddy forced to cancel UK gigs
28 March 2007

American rapper Snoop Dogg has been refused entry into the United Kingdom, forcing him to cancel a number of gigs.

He has been denied a visa by immigration officials in the country, with reports suggesting that they were concerned about Snoop's past.

The star, real name Calvin Broadus, has previous convictions for drug abuse and possessing a firearm.

He has also admitted to being a member of the notorious Crips gang and was involved in a fracas at Heathrow airport last year.

The ban means that Snoop Dogg cannot perform his scheduled UK gigs and fellow rapper P Diddy has also been left disappointed.

Diddy, real name Sean John Combs, was due to perform alongside Snoop but is now spending his time enjoying a holiday in the UK with some friends.

He was spotted out and about with David and Victoria Beckham at an exclusive restaurant in London's Mayfair.

The star is said to be disappointed that the gigs could not go ahead but tried to distract himself by giving the Beckhams some advice on their impending move to the US.
